Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman is likely to be affected by an air depression for three days from Tuesday, April 23, until Thursday, April 25, 2024, Oman Meteorology said.

Forecasts and analyses of the National Early Warning Center indicate that the atmosphere of the Sultanate of Oman will be affected by an air depression from Tuesday, April 23, until Thursday, April 25, 2024.

It is expected that clouds will flow and form, with chances of scattered rain of varying intensity, sometimes thunderous, accompanied by active downward winds and hail, leading to the flow of reefs and valleys over the Governorates of Al Buraimi, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Al Dhahirah, Muscat, Al Dakhiliyah, North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Sharqiyah, and Musandam.

Flow and formation of clouds and scattered rain, sometimes heavy thunderstorms ranging between (10-30 mm), leading to the flow of reefs and valleys over the Governorates of Al Buraimi, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Al Dhahirah, Muscat, Al Dakhiliyah, North Al Sharqiyah, and South Al Sharqiyah and Musandam,

Active winds ranging between (15-35) knots.

2. Wednesday, April 24, 2024

Continued flow and formation of clouds and scattered rain that may be thundery at times ranging between (5-20 mm), may lead to the flow of reefs and valleys over the Hajar Mountains and their adjacent areas and may extend to include the coastal areas of the Sea of ​​Oman.

Active wind ranging between (15-35) knots.

3. Thursday, April 25, 2024.

Continued flow and formation of clouds and scattered rain, which may be thundery at times (5-15 mm), may lead to the flow of reefs and valleys over the Hajar Mountains and their adjacent areas and may extend to include the coastal areas of the Sea of ​​Oman.

Active wind ranging between (15-35) knots.

The Civil Aviation Authority calls on everyone to exercise caution during rainfall, valley flows, and low horizontal visibility, to check the sea condition, and to follow the weather forecasts issued by it.
