Muscat: Southeasterly winds are expected in several parts of the Sultanate of Oman, which may cause dust storms and reduced horizontal visibility, said Oman Meteorology.

Oman Meteorology said in a statement: "Southeast wind activity over the Governorates of Muscat, South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, Al Dakhiliyah, Dhofar, Al Dhahirah, and Al Buraimi. Weather monitoring stations recorded wind speeds reaching 21 knots, causing dust storms and reduced horizontal visibility. Wind activity will continue until Monday, February 26, 2024 evening."
