Evening school classes suspended in Muscat, other governorates of Oman

Muscat: The classes have been suspended in all evening schools in Muscat and South Al Batinah Governorates on Sunday, February 11, 2024 due to the weather conditions.

"The Directorate General of Education in Muscat Governorate, in view of the weather conditions in the Sultanate, is suspending classes in evening schools for Sunday, February 11, 2024, for all schools in the governorate," a statement said.

Due to the weather conditions, the Directorate General of Education in South Al Batinah decided to suspend classes in evening schools only, noting that it is expected that a circular will be issued by the Ministry regarding the suspension for coming days.

According to Oman Meteorology heavy thunderstorms accompanied by active winds and hailstones are likely to occur over the Governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, South Al Batinah, Muscat and Al Dakhiliyah on Sunday and Monday.
