Muscat: The “Jalab” farm in the village of Musanna in Wadi Bani Kharous in the Wilayat of Al Awabi in the South Al Batinah Governorate witnesses active tourism movement by tourists and visitors during the winter season.
It It is one of the important tourist destinations in the state due to its unique geometric formation and agricultural hierarchy that is irrigated in the traditional way. It is one of the old traditional farms in the wilayat .
“Jalab” Farm is famous for growing several types of different agricultural crops, especially during the winter, including garlic, onions, cabbage, cauliflower, zucchini, cucumbers, potatoes, eggplant, peppers, tomatoes and other vegetables, in addition to growing corn, wheat and many different animal feeds.
The farmers in the Jalab farm also maintain agriculture and irrigation in the traditional way, as many citizens in the village practice agricultural work themselves in order to pass it on from generation to generation and preserve it.
The visitor to Jalab Farm can see the agricultural terraces and enjoy the pristine nature that the place is famous for, as well as visit (Jalab Coffee), which is managed by ambitious Omani youth in the village and where coffee and various juices are served, as it adds an aesthetic touch to the place.
