HM the Sultan confers Medals of Excellent Service, Royal Merit on Personnel of Royal Court Affairs

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, today conferred medals of Excellent Service and Royal Merit on a number of officers and non-commissioned officers (NCOs) at the Royal Court Affairs. The medals were pinned by Nasr Hamoud Al Kindi, Secretary General of the Royal Court Affairs (RCA).

‘Mountain Man’ of Oman overwhelmed by Royal honour

Saeed bin Hamdan, an Omani volunteer, who supervised the construction of a road connecting two mountainous villages, was surprised and overwhelmed when he received the Order of Commendation from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

Saeed brought an excavator and took up the cudgel to provide connectivity to the people living in the mountainous terrain.
