Franco-Omani Centre hosting a series of events in January

Muscat: On the occasion of the Omani Environment Day celebrated each year on the 8th of January and as part of France’s environment diplomacy, the Franco-Omani Centre is organising a series of echoing events during the whole month of January.

The protection of the environment is a key priority of French diplomacy. France chaired the breakthrough Climate Change Conference of 2015 where the Paris Agreement was adopted. After organising the One Ocean Summit in Brest in 2022, France was designated to host the United Nations Oceans Conference in 2025.

On the occasion of the worldwide celebrated “Nuits de la lecture”, come and listen to selected texts read by Philippe Guinet from “Les passeurs de mots”. The readings will revolve around the them os sea and its relationship with mankind.

Beach clean-up, in collaboration with Move Green Initiative

Bella and Vipulan, two teenagers, will embark in an extraordinary quest: to find another way of living alongside other species, more as roommates than predators. To do so, they will travel and meets with scientists and activities all over the globe.
