Nearly 200 violations issued against unauthorised jobs in Dhofar

Muscat: More than 190 violations have been issued by the Ministry of Labour (Mol), against expats in the concession areas in the Wilayat of Shalim and Al Halaniyat Islands, Dhofar Governorate from December 16 to 23, 2023 for working in unauthorised jobs.

Ministry of Labour (Mol), said in a statement :"The Ministry of Labour, represented by the General Directorate of Labour in Dhofar Governorate, carried out inspection campaigns in the concession areas in the Wilayat of Shalim and Al Halaniyat Islands, during the period from December 16-23, 2023."

"76 work sites were visited, and 192 labour violations were recorded, including 148 for those who work in classified professions and professions in which they are not authorised to work, and 44 for those who work for someone other than the employer. Legal measures are being taken against them, " the statement added.
