Nama Electricity Supply Company organized the Cost Reflective Tariff Forum, in the presence of representatives from Nama Group companies, government and private agencies, concerned people covered by the Cost Reflective Tariff category, and some investors who own projects with high electrical consumption.

Several topics were discussed during the Forum, including defining the concept of Cost Reflective Tariff, the available options, and the advantage of each option. The Company was keen to provide the best practices that would help the customer ensure the optimal use of electrical energy by taking the suitable measures. In order to provide the customer with the opportunity to choose the most appropriate option among the available options for calculating the monthly electricity consumption bill, the Company launched an interactive simulation service for the Cost Reflective Tariff options and how to calculate them. This service enables the customer to choose the appropriate option that is compatible with the pattern of electrical energy consumption.

Mr. Salem Said Al Kamyani, CEO of the Company, said that this Forum was organized  out of the Company’s belief in the importance of communicating with valued customers. He stressed that the Company is always keen to keep its customers informed of everything that would contribute to achieving their satisfaction and ensuring the sustainability of the service.

Chief Operating Officer, Engineer Salman Al-Hattali, spoke about the importance of the customer knowing the details of the two agreements of the network connection and the electricity supply and their most important terms and conditions that enable customers to know all their rights and obligations. “This comes as an initial step to start connecting our customers’ projects to the electrical current”, he said.

The Forum discussed also all electronic services provided by the Company, which contribute to improving the quality and speed of services. Due to the importance of benefiting from the successful experiences of customers, a number of working papers were presented that reflect realistic experiences and models that would help other customers in raising the level of optimal energy consumption and hence reducing the cost of using electricity.

At the conclusion of the Forum, there was a chance for discussion and answers to the questions of the participants and attendees. This contributed to exchanging customers’ experiences and opinions, as well as the Company’s support for all customers regarding the optimal consumption of electricity by taking corrective measures in their establishments and using modern technologies, as well as reducing electricity consumption during the peak hours.
