Three expats arrested in Oman, four boats seized

Muscat: Four unlicensed fishing vessels were seized and three expats were arrested for illegal fishing in Al Wusta Governorate.

"The Fisheries Control Department, while inspecting fishing vessels in the fishing port in the Wilayat of Duqm on Monday, December 20, 2023, seized:

1- Two fishing vessels that do not have numbers on both sides.

2 - Two fishing vessels that do not have licenses.

3- Three expatriate workers were detained at the Duqm Police Station," the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources (MAFWR), said in a statement.
