Muscat: The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) and the Foreign Ministry, represented by the Diplomatic Academy, jointly executed an extensive knowledge programme for members of the Council of Oman.
The programme was conducted during the period from 10-12 December 2023.
The programme encompassed an array of critical subjects, namely the powers vested to the Council of Oman, legislative and legal aspects in the Council’s work, as well as trends in foreign policy, international relations, ceremonial work, the foundations of Omani media, preventive security, and local administration.
Dr. Ali Qassim Al Lawati, President of the Royal Academy of Management, referred to the contents of the speech of His Majesty during the opening of the Council of Oman’s first annual session of the eighth term. He commended the Council’s maturity in experience, highlighting its seamless integration with diverse state apparatuses and its pivotal role in the state system through collaborative partnerships.
Al Lawati added, “The rapid and successive developments we are witnessing, whether social, economic and technical and their impact at the national level have imposed a new reality that necessitates a redefinition of the roles played by state institutions and enhances the importance of joint integrated work between them.
The programme was attended by Sheikh Abdul Malik Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, Khalid Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council, the two Secretary Generals of the two councils and members of the councils.
