Five arrested for drug smuggling attempt

Muscat: Five people were arrested for attempting to smuggle more than 25 kilograms of hashish into the Sultanate of Oman, the Royal Oman Police (ROP), said.

ROP said in a statement: "The General Administration for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances arrested a citizen and four infiltrators of Asian nationality while they were trying to smuggle more than 25 kilograms of hashish. The legal procedures against them are completed."
