Muscat: Amit Chaulkar from Renaissance Services received the IT Excellence Award 2023 (Oman) at a recent event organised by the Global CIO Forum in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. The award commended him for outstanding contributions towards the IT organisation and the broader ecosystem. The event was attended by IT executives, technology experts, and industry leaders, who gathered to celebrate excellence in digital transformation in Oman.

A non-profit community of CIOs and IT leaders, the Global CIO Forum facilitates networking, sharing of best practices and executive development. It endeavours to enable CIOs and IT executives to build a vendor-neutral community to exchange ideas and best practices. The Forum’s awards typically highlight the importance of visionary leadership and strategic technology adoption in today’s rapidly evolving business landscape. Forum events offer sessions such as workshops, discussions, and social events that allow attendees to network and exchange ideas, tackle challenges and prepare their businesses for the future.

Speaking on the occasion, Amit Chaulkar, who is passionate about AI and robotics, said, “I am honoured to work with some amazing colleagues every day and this award is a testament to their hard work, dedication and collaboration in adopting cutting-edge technology that benefits users. So, it gives me great pleasure to accept it on behalf of our wonderful IT team.”

Congratulating him on the achievement, Stephen R Thomas, Chief Executive Officer, Renaissance Services said, “We are fortunate to have Amit play a key role in our IT and digital transformation as we adapt to evolving business and ESG requirements and customer needs. It is indeed a proud moment for us too, to see that his contributions are acknowledged and feted by his peers in the industry.”
