Muscat: His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al Harasi, Minister of Information sponsored the ceremony of announcing the results of His Majesty the Sultan’s Youth Cup competition for the 2021/2022 sports season.
Salalah Club was crowned with His Majesty the Sultan’s Youth Cup for the 2021/2022 sports season, Seeb Club came in second place, and Masirah Club came in third place.
His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Sports and Youth said that the competition is a true display of the sublime and continuing interest of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik for the youth, and one of its goals is to motivate clubs to continue working towards raising the level of their various activities to be an incubator for youth and more responsive to their aspirations and ambitions.
He added: "The Ministry will implement a study to evaluate the reality of the sports sector in Sultanate of Oman in cooperation with an international expert house, starting from January 2024."
