Police seize over 1000 packages of khat in Oman

Muscat: The Coast Guard Police in Dhofar Governorate arrested five people of Arab nationality while trying to smuggle more than 1000 packages of the drug Khat.

Previously this week, Royal Oman Police also announced that the Coast Guard Police in the South Al Batinah Governorate arrested two people of Asian nationality on charges of smuggling more than 45 kilograms of hashish and 14 kilograms of crystal meth and entering the country illegally.

ROP added that the legal procedures against the accused are underway.
