German First Lady visits German University of Technology

Muscat: Elke Büdenbender, the wife of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, has visited the Center for the History of Science at the German University of Technology in Oman on Tuesday, November 28,2023.

Elke Büdenbender visited the campus of His Excellency Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany, today at the Center for the History of Science at the German University of Technology in Oman, as part of the current official visit of His Excellency the German President and his wife to the Sultanate of Oman.

 The guest was received upon her arrival by Professor Dr. Michael Brown, President of the University, and a number of its officials.

 The wife of His Excellency the German President listened to a comprehensive explanation about the Center for the History of Science, which is considered an educational and cultural source for generations and highlights the cultural contribution and human communication of peoples in the development of applied sciences, in addition to clarifying the history of the transmission of ideas and theories.

 During the visit, the guest was introduced to some student projects in various research specialisations at the university presented by a group of students.
