Seven arrested for trying to smuggle over 30 kgs of drugs into Oman

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has arrested seven smugglers for attempting to smuggle more than 30 kilograms of crystal  and a quantity of hashish into the Sultanate of Oman.

"The General Administration for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances arrested seven people of Asian nationality while trying to smuggle more than 30 kilograms of crystal and a quantity of hashish. The legal procedures are being completed against them," ROP said in a statement.

Two arrested for theft

In another incident, two expats were arrested for stealing from a commercial store in North Al Batinah Governorate.

"The North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested two people of Asian nationality on charges of breach of trust and stealing sums of money and phone recharge cards from a commercial store. The legal procedures are being completed against them," Royal Oman Police (ROP), said in a statement.
