Council of State opens first session to elect its members

Muscat: The Council of State opens its first session of the first regular session of the eighth term (2023-2027) to elect the two vice-presidents, members of the Council’s bureau, and members of the committees.

The honoured members of the State Council for the eighth term, numbering 86 members will take the oath.

His Excellency Sheikh, Chairman of the Council of State: "We proudly discern from His Majesty the Sultan’s speech many important issues that serve as a beacon for us in the Council’s work process, and an integrated work programme for the next stage due to its clear and practical vision and a comprehensive outlook that can be applied and translated to reach the desired goals in various fields."
