His Majesty, American President discuss Palestine issue over phone call

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik and American President Joe Biden discussed the
developments of the situation in the Gaza strip over a phone call on Friday.

"His Majesty the Sultan, may God protect and preserve him, and His Excellency the American President, during a phone call, reviewed areas of bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries, in addition to exchanging views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest, the most important of which are the developments taking place in the Palestinian areas," a statement said.

"His Majesty the Sultan, may God preserve him, stressed the importance of stopping military operations in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, protecting civilians, giving the humanitarian aspect the highest priority, and emphasised the importance of resorting to the resolutions of international legitimacy and international humanitarian law, and the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders with its capital being East Jerusalem."
