Muscat: Police have arrested the driver of a vehicle who tried to make a risky crossing of an overflowing wadi, but got stuck in the middle of it instead.
In a video shared by police, that had earlier been circulated on social media, the driver can be seen driving into the wadi in an SUV, but after a while, the car gets stuck and he climbs out of the window.
Royal Oman Police said in statement online, "Referring to the video that is being circulated via social media about a person taking a risk and crossing a wadi recklessly, ROP notes that the driver of the vehicle has been dealt with and the case is under procedure."
The police also called on the public not to risk their lives by crossing flowing wadis.
