New tourist area designated in Oman

Muscat: The Wadi Shab area which is located in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, has been designated as a tourist area.

His Excellency Salim bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, issued on Sunday, October 22, a ministerial decision deeming the Wadi Shab area a tourist area.

Article 1 of the decision said that the Wadi Shab area, which is located in the Wilayat of Sur in the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, is considered a tourist area.

Wadi Shab is located in Tiwi, which is a part of Sur in Al Sharqiyah South Governorate. The place is easily accessible from Muscat , as it lies 140 kilometers from Muscat on the Qurayat , Sur Coastal Road.
