Minister of Information receives Lebanese counterpart

Muscat: Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information, received here today Ziad Makary, Minister of Information of the Republic of Lebanon, as part of the latter’s current visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

During the meeting, Dr. Abdullah and the Lebanese minister discussed bilateral relations and explored opportunities for cooperation in various media fields. They looked into ways of enhancing coordination about the exchange of news content and media training.

The two ministers underscored the role of the media in consolidating the cultural identity of countries, instilling authentic values in young generations and fostering understanding among people belonging to different cultures.

They exchanged views about various media issues and studied technical developments that support media action, notably through modern mass media.

The meeting was attended by the Lebanese ambassador to Oman and officials from both sides.
