This was the hottest city in Oman on Monday

Muscat: Sur recorded a temperature of 45.9 degrees Celsius on Monday, the highest in any place in Oman, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has revealed.

The coastal city was followed by Zamaim, where the maximum temperature was 45.7 degrees and Yaaloni, that registered 45 degrees. These towns were closely followed by Haima and Maqshin, where mercuries soared to 44.9 degrees and Qarn Alam, which sizzled at 44.8 degrees Celsius.

Moreover, Saiq in Dhakhiliyah, witnessed a minimum temperature of 20.2 degrees Celsius, the coolest in the Sultanate. This was followed by Qairoon Hriti at 21.2 degrees, Dhalkut at 21.3 degrees, Shalim at 22.7 degrees, Yaaloni at 23.4 degrees and Haima at 24.2 degrees Ceslius.
