ALIZZ Islamic Bank partners with Dar Al Atta'a to support the community

As part of the banks pioneering role in lending a hand to the community and various institutions and associations, Alizz Islamic Bank recently partnered with Dar Al Atta’a to implement one of the ‘Tamkeen Program’ projects for the current year 2023. This comes as part of the banks belief that the prosperity of individuals leads to the prosperity of the societies in which we live.

Dar Al Atta’a’s goal is to contribute towards improving living conditions and bringing about lasting positive change in our community. The association contributes continuously towards making a positive impact in Omani society. The agreement signed with Alizz Islamic Bank aims to provide a suitable educational environment for pre-school children by renovating an existing endowment building. The project also contributes towards providing job opportunities in the region. The agreement was signed by The Honourable Maryam bint Issa Al Zadjali, Chairperson of the Association, and Mr. Ali bin Saif Al Mani, CEO of Alizz Islamic Bank.

This project falls under the ‘Tamkeen Program’, which is one of the association’s main programs and aims to contribute to sustainable projects that will enhance income and achieve prosperity for both individuals and society. As part of the association's belief in providing better opportunities that enable investment in the nation’s people to create a support factor for Oman’s renaissance and development; over the past years, Dar Al Att’a has worked to establish cultural centres throughout the Sultanate.

The Dar Al Atta'a Association, will manage and supervise the project and follow up on the stages of implementing the maintenance and restoration of the endowment building in Al Hajar Village in Wilayat Al Awabi. During this period, the building will be restored and equipped with the necessary classroom amenities and equipment to provide a comprehensive educational environment for pre-school children and a suitable environment for the school’s teaching staff.

Speaking about the project, The Honourable Maryam Al-Zadjali said: “This project is of great importance as it is linked to empowerment through pre-school education, which contributes to enhancing the abilities and skills of children and preparing them for the next stages of their education.”

Commenting also Mr. Ali Al Mani, CEO of Alizz Islamic Bank said: “Social responsibility is in line with Alizz Islamic Bank’s mission of achieving exceptional and sustainable results for our shareholders. The bank has partnered on and supported many projects that have had a positive impact on society and that have created community value.”

Mr. Al Mani added “Investing in our communities has been our focus since the founding of Alizz Islamic Bank, and the ultimate goal is to strive to provide a better life for the people we serve across the Sultanate. We are confident that investing in sustainable initiatives is a crucial element towards achieving community prosperity. The bank has provided strong support for leading national associations and organisations that work towards building a strong and resilient society and we have contributed to the growth of several non-profit social organisations.”
