Over 1,200 government websites connected through Oman's unified government network

Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) revealed that the total number of government websites that were linked through the unified government network reached 1,233 government websites by the end of the first half of this year. This includes 23 new government websites, and 63 government websites that were linked to the high-speed unified government network.

Engineer Sami Suhail Beit Fadel, Director General of Infrastructure and Digital Platforms at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, said that this link aims to achieve secure communication between government institutions and raise the level of electronic services. He noted that the number of state administrative bodies that provide their services through the government integration platform has reached 32 entities until the first half of this year. The number of entities benefiting from the services is 64, including: 60 entities from the units of the state’s administrative apparatus and 4 entities from private sector institutions.

The Director General of Infrastructure and Digital Platforms at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology explained that the total requests for data exchange through the platform since its inception amounted to 800 million requests, of which 100 million requests were made until the end of the first half of 2023. He stressed that this platform serves the Ministry's vision in developing government services.
