Muscat : The Sultanate of Oman's National Under-23 Olympic team will begin its campaign in the Asian qualifiers, hosted by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, by meeting the Syrian team at Prince Mohammed Stadium in Zarqa at 6:30 pm MCT time.
The team enters the match with the desire to win and achieve the three points. The team has completed all its preparations for the confrontation, as yesterday evening it conducted its training session at Al-Ahly club stadium.
Coach Akram Habrish and the assistant technical staff approved the basic lineup that will play in the opening match, and the coach focused his training on the tactical aspects, possession exercises, focusing on the speed of moving the ball and building under high pressure, to conclude the training session with stretching exercises.

Majeed Al-Nazwani, assistant coach of the national under-23 team, said: “We began work and preparation by participating in the Qatar International Championship, the West Asian Championship and the Arab Games, which undoubtedly played a major role alongside the Turkish camp in identifying and correcting mistakes. Our team is ready to start in all technical and physical aspects.The players are highly focused on achieving their goals and we will do our best to win points in the match.”
Mohammed Al-Hinai, captain of our national Olympic team, confirmed that his teammates are fully prepared to compete in the qualifiers and said: “Morale is high and all conditions are prepared to achieve our goals that we seek to reach. Our focus is on the first important confrontation, and we will strive to achieve positive results that satisfy everyone.”
