Muscat: Oman Cricket announces the commencement of the Junior U19, U16, U13 and U11 category for Boys for the Season 2023-24 from 30th September 2023.
The introduction of U11 category to the Junior Cricket League will foster Oman Cricket’s vision to grow cricket from it’s grassroots and focus on developing the interest of the game among the children to take up the sport and experience it at an early age. It will also help to refine the competition at U13 category amongst the players.
Oman Cricket has also inducted age limits into the categories of the U11, U13, U16 and U19 to keep the competition between the teams intense and at even pedestal on-ground.
Players Registration Deadline for Schools for U19, U16, U13, U11 for Boys will close by 17th September 2023. For Players Registration for Academies, the registration will open from 18th September 2023 & will close on 24th September 2023. Coach/Manager Meeting for all will be held on 26th September 2023.
Interested Schools and Academies can register via our website www.omancricket.org > Registrations. Online Registration with payment confirmation deadline for the teams is 10th September 2023.
Oman Cricket also intends to introduce U15 and U19 age category for Girls in the Junior Cricket Season 2023-24 in lines to it’s Women’s Cricket Development Programme – “#Cricket4Her”. The registration details for the same will be announced post completion of Women’s Indoor and Outdoor Softball Championships 2023.
Oman Cricket is looking forward to getting more teams enrolled and engaged in the sport and provide a platform for the young talent to showcase its calibre at the highest level of junior domestic league in Oman.
With Oman’s eyes on the ACC U19 Men’s Premier Cup 2023 in October 2023 and later in 2024, the junior cricket season will provide apt opportunity of the boys to showcase their talent at domestic level. Oman Cricket sights the engagement of the youth in the country to include themselves and participate in the season 2023-24.
