Mwasalat makes first trip on its new northern route

Muscat: Oman National Transport Company - Mwasalat - made its first journey on the new Northern Al Mawaleh-Al Khuwair route.

This route is part of Mwasalat’s plan to expand the public transport network in the Governorate of Muscat.

On the new route, buses will pass by Seeb Vocational Training Centre, Al Mouj roundabout, 18th November Street, Higher College of Techonology and finally Al Khuwair 33.

Mwasalat will operate the new route on a daily basis, with a bus scheduled every 30 minutes. Buses will start running from 6:00 am on weekdays and public holidays.

In October, 'Mwasalat' signed an agreement to supply new buses within cities which will be used when operating the new route. These buses have been specially designed to suit the nature and specifications of roads in the Sultanate and have low operating costs in terms of fuel and maintenance. They also make it easier for passengers to for embark/disembark.
