Oman Meteorology issues weather alert

Muscat: Oman Meteorology published a weather alert today, Saturday, for chances of cumulus clouds forming over the Hajar Mountains and neighbouring areas of Dhofar Governorate.

In the alert, Oman Meteorology said that the speed of active downward winds may reach higher than 30 knots. This will lead to a decrease in horizontal visibility as well as the rise of dust and dirt over Al Hajar Mountains, concentrated in parts of Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah and North Sharqiyah, as inferred by the Omani numerical model.
