Mahout: The Directorate of Roads in Al Wusta Governorate in collaboration with one of the private sector companies paved 22km of the Wadi Al Sail Road in the Wilayat of Mahout.

The existed unpaved road was replaced by adding Bitumen to it.

This was made with the aim of stabilising the soil and preventing dust from flying on the road so that citizens and residents can move easily and for enhancing traffic safety of the users of the road.

Wadi Al Sail road in the Wilayat Mahout is considered one of the important roads as it branches from Sinaw – Mahout – Duqm road, shortening the distance for those heading to Masirah Island through Shana Marine harbour.

In addition, the road mainly serves Wadi Al Sail village which has the largest population density in the Wilayat of Mahout and serves a number of government establishments in the village.
