Campaign against Aedes mosquito launched in Madha

Musandam: The Musandam Municipality, in cooperation with the Directorate General of Health Services in the governorate, continues its campaign to combat the Aedes mosquito in the Wilayat of Madha.

The campaign targeted a number of targeted residential areas and neighbourhoods.

The Musandam Municipality has taken proactive measures to combat the spread of the Aedes mosquito to prevent the spread of diseases. A specialised team from the municipal preventive health department and the field survey team of the Ministry of Health visited several areas to eliminate the Aedes mosquito.

The municipality is trying to raise public awareness of the dangers associated with the Aedes mosquito and the preventive measures that should be taken to avoid getting infected.

Through various media outlets, the municipality is disseminating information about the breeding habits of the Aedes mosquito, the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment, and ways to avoid its bites.

A number of measures have also been implemented, and an effective approach to combating the Aedes mosquito has been implemented, through the use of spraying machines, removal of waste and the elimination of weed growth in the affected areas to ensure a clean environment.
