Muscat: Inspection teams from the Ministry of Labour apprehended 15 workers who were in violation of the provisions of the Labour Law in Muscat Governorate.
“The Ministry of Labour, represented by the General Directorate of Labour Welfare (the joint inspection team), in cooperation with the Municipality of Seeb, carried out an inspection campaign in front of a mosque in the wilayat of Seeb. 15 workers were arrested in violation of the provisions of the Labour Law, and legal procedures against them are underway.” The Ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry added: “This comes with the aim of following up on expat workers and the extent of their commitment to the provisions of the Labour Law, and in continuation to combatting the phenomenon of random selling practices.
