Muscat: The Information Technology Authority (ITA) conducted a specialised workshop on Big Data, in cooperation with Exceed Company as part of their support to ITA’s projects.

The workshops, that took place on Tuesday, was targeted to the government entities’ eTransformation teams and around 50 participants attended it.

During the workshop, the participants were introduced to the concept of "Big Data" and to identify the best ways to benefit from the data that is utilised on a daily basis through the monitoring and analysis of these data, which contributes to providing the best services, applications and decisions and thus enhance productivity and improve service delivery.

The workshop also addressed artificial intelligence, eLearning and advanced data analysis that contribute to empowering government employees with skills needed to employ these applications in the work environment.
