Football tournament for banks held at Sultan Qaboos Stadium

Muscat: Football tournament for banks started on Saturday 8th July 2023. The football matches were held at the Sultan Qaboos Stadium in Baushar, at the indoor hall with the participation of 12 banks operating in the Sultanate, and the Central Bank of Oman.

This event that was organized by the Oman Banks Association, aims to enhance the relationship and partnership among banks, as we as promoting all kinds of sports and create a friendly competitive sporting environment for bankers to participate and compete in.

The final matches of the tournament witnessed fierce competition between the finalist teams, and the First place was Bank Dhofar, followed by the Second place National Bank of Oman, followed by the third place Bank Nizwa. A special ceremony was held under the patronage of HE Tahir Salim Al Amri, Executive President of The Central Bank of Oman, to distribute gifts and trophies to the winners.
