Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman expresses its support for the outcomes of the summit of Sudan’s neighbouring countries, held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Thursday.
Foreign Ministry said in a statement: “The Sultanate calls on the parties to the conflict in the sisterly Republic of Sudan to abide by the ceasefire, end the fighting in order to save bloodshed, facilitate the arrival of humanitarian aid, and affirm full respect for the sovereignty of Sudan. Sudan, its unity and territorial integrity, and non-interference in its internal affairs.”
The Ministry expressed appreciation for the efforts led by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the brotherly Arab Republic of Egypt, in holding the summit, in support of the endeavours aimed at reaching a comprehensive and sustainable peaceful solution that meets the aspirations of the brotherly Sudanese people for security and stability and preserving their gains and capabilities.
