Muscat: SalamAir, the low-cost carrier in the Sultanate of Oman has operated its first flight to Fujairah International Airport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
SalamAir, the low-cost carrier in the Sultanate of Oman, today celebrated its first direct flight to Fujairah International Airport in the United Arab Emirates, with four flights per week, on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Captain Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir, explained that the launch of the Fujairah route is in line with the company's objectives of expanding its services, providing more travel options, and connecting travellers from Fujairah International Airport through Muscat International Airport to a number of international SalamAir destinations.
CEO of SalamAir said that SalamAir is the first company to operate direct flights to Fujairah International Airport, noting that the route serves a large segment of travelers in Fujairah, Khor Fakkan, Dibba and the nearby border areas.
Captain Mohamed Ahmed emphasised that SalamAir currently owns 14 aircrafts and will receive five new aircraft before the end of this year to cover its 39 destinations.
SalamAir operates its flights to domestic destinations to Muscat, Salalah, Sohar, Duqm and Masirah, in addition to its international destinations to Dubai, Fujairah, Doha, Bahrain, Kuwait, Dammam, Riyadh, Jeddah, Medina, Shiraz, Tehran, Mashhad, Istanbul, Risa, Trabzon and Alexandria, Beirut, Almaty, Baku, Kuala Lumpur, Prague, Sarajevo, Bangkok, Phuket, Colombo, Chattogram, Dhaka, Kathmandu, Karachi, Multan, Sialkot, Lucknow, Jaipur and Trivandrum.
SalamAir also operates direct flights from Sohar to Salalah, Shiraz and Trabzon, in addition to its direct flights from Salalah to Muscat, Sohar, Medina, Bahrain and Calicut.
