Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), announced in a circular that all alerts of Marburg virus (MVD) in the civil aviation sector of the Sultanate of Oman are lifted.
A statement issued online by the CAA said that according to CAA Circular No. 1/2023-MVD dated 30th March 2023, regarding the Marburg virus disease, all passengers and aircraft operators in the Sultanate of Oman are hereby notified that all alerts of Marburg virus (MVD) in the civil aviation sector of the Sultanate are lifted.
This decision based on the latest updates on the epidemiological situation in United Republic of Tanzania and Republic of Equatorial Guinea, and the competent authorities' confirmation of the end of the epidemic as well as control of the Marburg virus disease (MVD) outbreak, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and other competent authorities.
