Avoid going to the sea, cautions Oman Meteorology

Muscat: Oman Meteorology has urged people to avoid going to the sea and practicing marine activities from today, Monday June 12 till Wednesday, June 14, 2023 due to the high sea waves on the coasts of the Sultanate of Oman.

"Due to the high sea waves on the coasts of the Sultanate of Oman and the chances of extension and rising water levels in the low coastal areas during the period June 12-14, 2023, people are advised to avoid going to the sea and practicing marine activities, " Oman Meteorology said in a statement.

Oman Meteorology added that fishermen are also requested to be careful while handling their boats during the period.
