“I personally visited the new airport to see how people can access it and I was extremely happy to discover that the route is quite straightforward, despite where you are coming from. People shouldn’t worry at all about getting there as the route to the new airport has been designed keeping all locations in mind, leaving no room for confusion,” said Ali Al Barwani, CEO, Oman Road Safety Association.
“Having said that, I would highly advise all passengers travelling for the first time to get there ahead of time, as it will be a completely new experience for them. For the frequent travellers, I would offer the same advice, so they can enjoy and explore all the facilities and services the new airport has to offer to make their journey more comfortable,” added Barwani.
He further congratulated all the bodies involved in the strategic construction plan of the new Muscat International Airport, that provides smooth access to all the passengers arriving and departing from the airport.
“As an Omani, I couldn’t be more proud of how far we have come, and we still need to continue to challenge ourselves to perform better and serve our nation with the best. The infrastructure, services, facilities, accessibility and comfort are all present at the new airport, but the real challenge now is going to be operations,” he said.
“I am highly positive that we will overcome this challenge just as we have been doing in the previous years,” added Barwani.
