Oman’s honey takes Doha by storm

Muscat: Ten top honey producers of Oman are displaying organic honey as part of the inaugural Seasonal Honey Market Exhibition, at Doha's Souq Waqif.
Oman's participation in the exhibition will help open new commercial channels for the Sultanate's top honey traders by engaging entrepreneurs and investors within the region and beyond. It also offers niche Omani honey producers the opportunity to display and promote their products as well as goods related to the trade and production of honey.
The event which has over 80 companies from 20 countries participating, is the largest specialised honey exhibition of its kind in the region and is organised by the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development (Ithraa) with support provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
Nasima Al Balushi, Ithraa’s Director General for Export Development and Acting Director General for Investment Promotion, said, “Oman produces high quality honey products that are in demand internationally and we are excited about exhibiting the Sultanate’s delicious honey in Doha.”
She added, "This is the first time Ithraa has organised an Omani pavilion at the Seasonal Honey Market. The Doha show stands out as an excellent trading platform to meet buyers and do business. We are confident the trade show will be a big success.”
