Muscat: The Ministry of Labour has been carrying out campaigns to bring in awareness regarding the policy of stopping work at construction sites and open areas during the mid-day/noon hours in the summer months.
A statement issued online by the Ministry of Labour said: “The Ministry of Labour, represented by the General Directorate of Labour in the Al Batinah South Governorate, implemented awareness campaigns for business owners in the governorate about the policy of stopping work at noon (12 :30 pm-3:30 pm) on construction sites, from June to August.”
“This policy is in accordance with the third clause of Article 16 of the Occupational Safety and Health Regulations,” the ministry said.
