Muscat: The Omani citizen who went missing three days ago has been found dead in the Wilayat of Dima Wall'Taiyin, said the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) on Monday, May 1, 2023.
A statement issued online by CDAA said that the search and rescue teams of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Departments in North Al Sharqiyah and Muscat governorates, in cooperation with the police aviation, and the public, found the body of the missing citizen in Wadi Dayqah in the Wilayat of Dima Wall'Taiyin.
A drowning incident of a citizen in Wadi Dayqah in the Wilayat of Dima Wal’Tayyin was circulated on social media recently.
Times of Oman contacted Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Rahbi, the cousin of the missing person, who stated that the deceased is his cousin, Ayoub bin Amer bin Hamoud Al-Rahbi, 21 years old, from Wadi Al-Sareen area in the Wilayat of Al-Amerat.
Al-Rahbi explained that the incident occured on Friday, the morning of April 29 at around 11 am, when Ayoub bin Amer was walking with a group of youngsters on the edge of one of the mountains of Toul area in the Wilayat of Dima Wal’Tayyin. He further said, Ayoub bin Amer's leg slipped and he fell into the stream of the valley which flows towards Wadi Dayqah dam in the Al-Mazra’ area, Wilayat of Qurayyat.
