Muscat: The Ministry of Labor has arrested 24 workers for violation of Labour Laws and for practising illegal sales in a number of public places in the Governorate of Muscat and South Al Sharqiyah.
The Ministry of Labour said: “The General Directorate of Labor Welfare conducted an inspection campaign to combat the phenomenon of (random sale) by the non-Omani workforce, as 13 workers were caught in violation of the provisions of the labor law in the Wilayat of Qurayyat, and 11 other workers in the Wilayat of Al Amerat.
The ministry stated that work is underway to take legal measures against them.
