Muscat: Authorities in the Sultanate's capital have taken action against street vendors selling vegetables, fruits, fish, cigarettes, and more, with over 200 kilos of wares being confiscated by Muscat Municipality (MM).
"The Urban Inspection Department in Muscat Municipality continues its efforts to prevent the indiscriminate sale in markets and public places by expat workers. During the inspection visits, some 246 kg of vegetables, fruits, cigarettes and milk are confiscated," MM said in an online statement.
The agency added that inspection teams in Seeb, coordinating with Royal Oman Police, raided street vendors in north Mabella and confiscated their wares.
