Customs foils two attempts to smuggle alcohol

Muscat: Two attempts to smuggle alcohol at the Al Dara and the Wadi Saa'a port were foiled by Customs officials.
According to authorities, at Al Dara, the bottles of alcohol were hidden under the rear seat and inside a box in the vehicle used by the smugglers. While alcohol was hidden in a door and the trunk of a vehicle in Wadi Saa'a.
A statement by the officials read, "Customs at Al Dara port thwarted a smuggling attempt. Alcohol bottles were found hidden inside a box and under the rear seat of a vehicle."
Officials also added, "The Customs of Wadi Saa'a port prevented the smuggling of alcohol."
