Muscat: Two citizens were arrested for possession of more than six kg of heroin valued at OMR300,000 in Shinas, announced the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
An official source in ROP said that the drugs were being smuggled into the Sultanate via the sea.
“The Department of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in Northern Batinah arrested two citizens with more than six and a half kilograms of heroin worth up to three hundred thousand OMR,” the official source said.
"The two suspects were arrested in Wilayat Shinas in possession of the substances, as well as GPS devices and phones in hand,” the statement further read.
