Muscat: Those who communicate in Telugu can now resume messaging in the language on their iPhones, as Apple has fixed the Telugu character bug that was causing iPhones and apps to crash.
Recently, iPhones and apps such as iMessage and Twitter started crashing after the user received or sent a particular character from the South Indian language. Once the bug was active, apps would crash indefinitely until they were uninstalled and reinstalled.
But now the bug has been fixed and iPhone users can simply update to iOS 11.26 to be able to send messages in Telugu. Other Apple products such as Apple TV and Macs have also received updates to counter this bug.
Since the release of iOS 11 last year, users have been plagued with several issues.
