Muscat: Fagor FCC set up a summit clash with Orient Travels in the Oman Cricket A Division T20 Tournament 2023. The final will be held at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground 2 in Al Amerat on Friday
In the semi-finals, Orient Travels edged past Glam Homes by seven runs while Fagor FCC outplayed OCT Ruwi by 36 runs.
Opting to bat first, Orient Travels scored 163/5 in 20 overs. Syed Amir Ali’s unbeaten 71 off 41 balls, comprising seven boundaries and three maximums, was the bedrock of the team’s total.
In response, Glam Homes were bowled out for 156. Tauseef Ahmed took 3/25 and Qayyum Mudasir and Syed Amir Ali grabbed two wickets each.
In the other semi-final, Fagor FCC reached 149/6 in 20 overs. Nishanth M (35 of 38) and Sultan Ahmed (31 of 25) were the main run-getters.
Mohammed Al Balushi and Faraz Al Balushi were among the wickets with two each.
OCT Ruwi was then restricted to 113/9 as they failed to cope up against tidy bowling from Parameswaran Shankar’s (3/11) and Vinukumar CG (2/37).
