Muscat: Alshawamikh Oil Services Company, a super local community company (SLCC) within the Oman oil and gas sector, was recently recognised and awarded in the 'Great Place To Work' category.
The award was conferred by the global organisation Great Place To Work as part of its annual list issued by the organisation in various countries around the world.
Alshawamikh Oil Services is the first local Omani company to win this award as a result of its clear vision to create an attractive and motivating work environment for its employees, with a focus on caring for and developing them, in addition to maintaining competencies, enhancing work quality and raising productivity.
Dr Aflah Al Hadhrami, CEO of AlShawamikh, said, “The Great Place To Work organisation, which operates in 60 countries around the world and is headquartered in San Francisco, is one of the largest organisations specialised in evaluating distinguished work environments that support creativity, innovation and enhances productivity. It works according to a mechanism based on the use of high-accuracy evaluation models.”
He added that receiving this accreditation and award reiterates and confirms that Alshawamikh is on the right track to create a distinctive experience and build a healthy and stimulating work environment, which is reflected in the dedication of its staff and the efforts exerted to provide the best services of high quality and efficiency to its customers.
Al-Hadhrami expressed his thanks to the employees, who contributed through a survey on the culture of the workplace, alongside companies and institutions with exceptional work environments at the global level, to obtain the accreditation as a 'Great Place To Work'.
“The company obtained the accreditation based on a confidential data-related employee survey, focusing on satisfaction, and employee experiences in terms of the trust, values of the company, and its leadership. The number of participants in this survey stood at more than 550, which undoubtedly contributed to making Alshawamikh the first Omani company to obtain this title,” he said.
He further said, “We obtained a high rank in the criterion of employee satisfaction and experiences, with an average rate of 85 per cent. This means that the majority of employees consider their work environment at Alshawamikh to be a distinguished work environment and look forward to a bright future with the company. I can assure everyone that the Executive Management Team and I are personally committed to preserving and strengthening the culture that we have worked hard to establish at Alshawamikh, guided by our core values.
