Gurugram: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the State Audit Institution(SAI) is currently taking part in the 1st meeting of the Anti-Corruption Working Group of the G20 in the Republic of India, which will last till 4 March.
The Sultanate of Oman’s participation in the G20 meetings for this year comes to enrich the fields of knowledge through the exchange of expertise and experiences among the participating countries, in addition to highlighting Oman’s efforts in the areas that will be addressed by the group.
The Anti-Corruption Working Group discussed many topics, including international cooperation in combating corruption and economic crimes, recovering stolen assets and addressing the role of integrity in the specialized authorities concerned with preventing and combating corruption.
A number of working groups within the G20 are participating in the meeting, covering various fields such as finance, energy transitions, trade and tourism, health, sustainable agriculture and food security, as well as education, combating terrorism and corruption.
