Muscat: Royal Cavalry’s mare Marya RC won golden champion title for fillies, while mare Royal Cavalry’s Nagia Aladiyat won golden title for mares, and colt Battar Almeqdam from Sohar Treasures Stable won golden title for colts.
Also, Royal Cavalry’s stallion Yane won golden title for stallions, Royal Cavalry’s Nuwair Al Jamal won golden title for colts at the conclusion of Oman 6th Horse Beauty Championship which was organised by Royal Cavalry at Al Rahba farm in Barka province.
The concluding event of the championship was organised under the auspices of Nasr Humood Al Kindi, secretary-general of Royal Court Affairs and a number of their excellencies ministers and undersecretaries and big audience attended the event.
The championship included 8 categories; 1st categories for 1-3 year old fillies, 2nd category for four-five-year-old mares, 3rd category for six-eight-year-old mares, 4th categories for nine-year upward mares, 5th category for one-three-year-old colts, 6th category for stallions, 7th category for 4-7 year old colts and 8th category for 8-year old and upward colts.
Brigadier General Abulrazak bin Abdulkader Alshahwarzi, commander of Royal Cavalry and supervisor of the championship, emphasised that the championship was organised under the supervision of ECAHO, and Royal Cavalry is a member in this organisation. He added that the championship achieved planned objectives for developing Arabian show championships and contests and to enhance skills of horse handlers and also to increase purity of Arabian horse breed.
The event saw hard competitions and big attendance. We aim during next years that the championship will go beyond local borders.
Royal Cavalry showed an exhibition in the championship where various horse and equestrian sets were shown by show people from the Royal Cavalry, Sultan Qaboos University, tourism ministry, public authority for craft industries and Oman Equestrian Federation.
